Arty
Art Gallery presents “Burmascape” the selection
of contemporary artworks of impressionist Tynt
Naing at The Arts House, Print Gallery from
Friday 23rd April till 3rd
May 2010.
Bright
patches of solid colors greet you when face to
face with these paintings of Tynt Naing.
Landscapes
begin to unfurl in each canvas as the eye skims
and rotates to take in the sights. Horizons of
stupas line themselves as maps of an
ever-changing world move themselves in clouds of
majestic stillness over the Bagan landscapes.
Sometimes the clouds dance in a spectacular
harnessing of light and form. Sometimes, they
moodily waft away or glide dreamily towards each
other in new chapters.
A solitary
haystack half-bathed in the orange royalty of
the sun stands still as time speeds on back and
forth in clean lines of yellow, mustard and
green. And by ponds, rivers, beaches and
jetties, water bridges the heart back to peace
by reflection.
Tynt Naing,
the observer of nature without and within,
paints with each haiku of landscapes in the
simplicity of color, the meditations of
transience and timelessness.
